Ashley has been an RDH since 2011 and truly loves what she does. She enjoys getting to know patients while providing a thorough, gentle, and professional experience for each and every person who sits in our treatment chairs. In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband and two toddlers, skiing, hiking, camping, and making the most of the little things in life.

Belen has been a staple at Country Club Dental for 25 years! Her first 10 years were spent with previous dentist, Dr. J. Teal, and for the past 15 years she has been Dr. Afshar’s right hand. She strives to help patients have the smiles they desire while providing them with unparallelled comfort and care.
Amie — Registered Dental Assistant
Amie has been with our office since 2007. Amie is caring, compassionate, and intuitive when it comes to meeting the needs of our patients. When she is not at Country Club Dental, Amie stays actively involved with her husband, son, and daughter.

Robin — Billing & Insurance Specialist
Robin has enjoyed getting to know and working with patients in her community for over 25 years. She started her dental career as a registered dental assistant and now works in the front office as the office’s Billing & Insurance Specialist. Robin has lived in the beautiful El Dorado foothills for over 30 years and enjoys exploring the surrounding countryside. A favorite destination for her is Lake Tahoe. But her best adventures are spent hanging out with her grandson!
Kaylor — Patient Coordinator
Kaylor truly loves her role as Patient Coordinator at Country Club Dental! She enjoys getting to know patients while providing the highest level of patient care possible. She adores her family and loves to spend time with them, indoors or outdoors! As a resident of Lotus, California, and a graduate of Oak Ridge High School (Class of 2016), Kaylor’s favorite hobby is floating down the river with her family and friends!

Dr.Afshar and his associate dentists are the best of the best! I would recommend Dr.Radu and Dr.Khoury to every single one of my family members. I really enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere of ALL the staff members. I was very nervous and Dr. Cory totally put me at easy and showed me dignity and respect. I was extremely comfortable with the whole procedure. Amy the technician was so kind, it was like we were friends forever. It was truly the best experience at a dentist office that I have ever had. I highly recommend them. I actually look forward to going back.

Amazing service from Dr. L and staff. Dentist are scary for some especially me and they could not have been more kind. They were very thorough with treatment as well as billing, and Latrisha Robin and Angie were so helpful making sure I understood everything. This was my initial visit. It is a bit stressful changing dentists and especially during covid reopening. That said, country club dental did a wonderful job communicating what to expect, what they have done with Covid safety, and how they work. And then the visit was exactly as the said it would be. As a bonus, they are all really nice. Overall a good experience. As good as going to the dentist can be. Thanks everyone at Country Club dental for making the dentist change a positive experience.

Teeth cleaning appt went well. They saw me on time and the total procedure was 30-40 minutes. The hygienist used a metal scaler mostly and was careful and detailed; no more discomfort than expected. She gave me an overall assessment of the level of build-up on my teeth and then gave advice on where to focus on my daily brushing. The front desk was pleasant, courteous, and efficient.

I've been going to Dr. Sonny Afshar at Country Club Dental for many years. I think he is an outstanding dentist. Just as important to me, he's also a wonderful person. He invests in the latest technology which enables me to be more involved in my care - like seeing x-rays immediately on the TV or seeing photos of my teeth captured by a tiny camera. The dental technicians and office staff are all wonderful to work with. They also work well with my Dental insurance company to make the billing a breeze.

I hate going to the dentist. Like actively figure out ways not to go. The minute I walked in, I felt comfortable. The staff was amazing, friendly but professional. Low key but quality. They made sure I understood everything before it happened, let me know what was next. In layman’s terms explained what treatment I needed. Patricia made me feel so relaxed and not nervous. Latricia was so quick to get back to me with followup appointment and my insurance copays. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I am going back in a few days and I have to say that I am not dreading it, I know it will be fine. Thank you!!

Dr. Afshar's team is the best team of dental professionals out there. All of the staff take the time to really understand your concerns and treatment options. They walk you through the insurance side of things and make sure things are handled right, in advance. Treatment plans are clear and pricing is upfront. They made time to fit me in and evaluate my dental issue with a walk in which was awesome! Anyone in the office who touches your teeth also seriously know what they're doing and take extra time to ensure that the work is done correctly.

He cares & cares ....I & my wife have been with him for last 3-4 years and can only say great things about him & his staff in the Cameron Park.I highly recommend him to anyone and have sent him many of my friends.They accept and work with this insurance we have although this insurance may not even give them any money.
