We all know the basic habits to keeping our smile clean. Brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and going to the dentist regularly are all commonly known tips that leads to positive oral health. However, there are other tips you can do on your own that will help you fight off cavities, and keep your smile clean at the same time. These tips include:

Chew sugar-free gum: Chewing sugar-free gum increases the saliva in your mouth and aid in cleaning and washing your teeth. This is an excellent alternative to snacks and gum with sugar.

Replace your toothbrush regularly: Replacing your toothbrush will keep your smile healthy and bacteria free. If you use a worn brush, your smile will not be properly cleaned on a regular basis. It’s strongly recommended that you replace your brush every 3-4 months.

Keep a toothbrush and floss with you: Throughout your day, make quick bathroom visits and brush and floss your teeth as often as possible. If you eat more throughout the day, then it makes sense to brush more and floss more throughout the day if you can, to keep your smile fresh.
